Project Date: Spring 2020

Helwyr was created as my university's final major project, it is a 3D 3rd person action role-playing game where the player will take on the role of an unnamed premade character. The player will have the ability to explore three different areas including a decaying forest, an abandoned town and, a gothic cathedral. Within these areas, they will be slaying enemies and a boss.

Background & Topic Overview

I have always been captivated by the beauty and difficulty of the soulsborne style games as they have massive expanding worlds that draw the player in with their hidden in-depth story aspects and then on top add a level of difficulty to the game that takes time to master as a skill. The complicity of the systems involved has always been interesting and one of the main outcomes that would be learned is a melee combat system that is reactive and feels responsive.

Project Status:

This project is currently not being developed anymore it was made as a University project. It may get fully revamped in the future.
